The Royal U11's (Year 6)
The last year of Mini rugby & also the last year boys and girls can play in mixed teams. We up the numbers at ruck & maul time plus there’s a strike (hook) at scrum time but still no pushing. Tackling is recapped with ideas offered and asked for. Defensive plans are drawn up, attacking moves are also worked on. Players are slowly starting to find positions whilst working hard on the team thing. Kicking from hand is introduced and encouraged as another part of the game.
